Want to park money for 2 years. What are the good options?
[11/01/2017, 12:18] Prasanna Hatti: Hi Ankit,
I would suggest below three options depending on your risk appetite.
- No risk: GILT funds – They invest only in government securities. You have Short Term and Medium and long
term funds. Returns are upto 10%. - Low risk: Short term debt funds. They invest in corporate bonds and other instruments. Return is up to 8-9%.
- Moderate Risk: Hybrid funds: They have equity exposure.
You can also consider FMP (Fixed Maturity Plan). But they are closed ended, meaning you can’t withdraw in between.
