Can I withdraw all my money from ELSS after 3 years of starting SIP?

The SIP amount I invest in April 2017 (say Rs.5000 or 100 units if NAV is 50). I can redeem these units (along with their growth) only on April 2020.

There is a small way out if you really want to get some of your money in ELSS back before 3 years. That is selecting Dividend option instead of growth while investing. But it won’t be significant unless your investment is high. (Not a wise option according to me).

It is the best choice in section 80C compared with all (FD, NSC, PPF, PF, NPS, SCSS etc.)
